Once again we are in the time for the monthly New Moon. This time it’s in Libra, sign of balance and harmony. And balance and harmony are the key right now because this is not any old New Moon.
No, this new Moon involves itself with Uranus and Pluto. Each month we have a New Moon when the Moon comes to conjunct the Sun. This week the Sun has been in position between Uranus and Pluto, but now that the Moon has joined it, it is a powerful lunation of transformation and opening a door. It creates the circumstances for us to empower ourselves, in whatever area of our life is ready to be empowered, wherever Uranus and Pluto are playing out. Again, as has been stated here before – this is about transcending where we are now, another notch upon this evolutionary journey. While every four months the Sun will come to a point in a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) which engages this relationship between the two outer planets, this time is unusual because the Moon has joined the Sun at that point and gives it an emotional punch.
Since we are in the time of Libra, we are in need of that serenity and co-operation with others. We may feel this is elusive to us now in such a time of emotional stress. We need to go to the place in our lives where we find solace and peace.
Additionally, this intensity is palpable because this lunation has now opened up eclipse season. The next lunation in two weeks is a Lunar Eclipse at the end of Libra and Aries. This is the easier of the two eclipses, it doesn’t make a deep connection to the outer planets, but it does bring emotions to the surface. The more profound eclipse is the Solar Eclipse on November 3rd in early Scorpio. That one connects with Saturn and the North Node. This relates back to the eclipses in early May – what happened for you back then? Scorpio is always where the profound emotions are in our life – this eclipse will bring some opportunity to clear deep seated feelings.
And to add more intensity to the mix – November 1st is the next exact square of Uranus and Pluto. The last one was within the eclipse period back in May. It’s not an easy time, but again it’s one that propels us along on this journey. The best action to take is to listen to your emotions and hear what is happening – don’t necessarily follow them down a long, dark tunnel. Understand the complexity of what is happening. Ask questions of yourself and of the life circumstances surrounding you. Find the clarity amidst the murky feelings and navigate through all of it.
More on this in the weeks ahead. For now, start looking at what has happened in the last few days and use the information to prepare for the emotional ride of the eclipse period.
